OPEC Crude Production Rises in June 2026 Led by Gulf Producers
OPEC 12 crude production rose by over three million barrels per day in June 2026, driven primarily by output gains across Middle Eastern members.
Crude oil output across the OPEC 12 members increased by 3,051 thousand barrels per day (kb/d) between May and June 2026, according to OPEC's July 2026 Monthly Oil Market Report. The figures point to a substantial monthly rise in collective volumes as global demand for crude oil continues to influence upstream production levels.
The volume increase was driven predominantly by Gulf producers. The United Arab Emirates accounted for the largest individual rise, adding 1,642 kb/d, followed by Kuwait, which increased production by 880 kb/d. Iraq and Iran also recorded gains of 446 kb/d and 155 kb/d respectively during the same period.
For vessel operators, offshore contractors, and procurement teams, sustained output increases across these key producers signal steady operational activity and potential support for regional tanker demand. Technical procurement specialists should keep close oversight on regional supply chains and spares availability as marine support and operational requirements adapt to higher production volumes.
