TotalEnergies and AMNI have reached the final investment decision to proceed with the development of the Ima gas field in Nigeria. Under the agreed arrangement, TotalEnergies will serve as the project operator and hold a 40 per cent interest, while AMNI retains the majority 60 per cent working interest in the asset.
Reaching this final investment milestone marks a formal commitment from both partners to advance the Nigerian gas development. With commercial terms settled and approvals established, the joint venture can now progress towards execution planning, engineering works, and operational schedules needed to bring the field towards production.
For offshore contractors, vessel operators, and procurement teams, the decision provides clear forward momentum for field development activity.
