TotalEnergies Approves Ima Offshore Gas Field for Nigeria LNG Train 7

TotalEnergies has approved the development of the Ima offshore gas field to supply feedstock for Nigeria LNG's Train 7 expansion starting in 2028.

TotalEnergies has granted approval for the development of the Ima offshore gas field in Nigeria. The project will reinforce upstream supply lines into the domestic processing network, directly supporting the broader operations and export capacity of the Nigeria LNG complex.

Deliveries from the Ima field are scheduled to commence in 2028. The field will serve as a key supply source, providing approximately one third of the feed gas required for Nigeria LNG's Train 7 expansion project once the new infrastructure becomes operational.

For offshore contractors, vessel operators, and procurement teams across the region, this project approval points to sustained demand for offshore services and marine logistics. Developing the field will require marine works, offshore support vessels, and specialised technical supplies throughout the construction and commissioning phases leading up to first gas.
